Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Technician with broad based knowledge of Building Envelope Systems to join our team in Winnipeg. This position will be full-time and include an excellent benefits package. This is an excellent opportunity to enter into an interesting and challenging career.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in roof inspection, commissioning or consulting.
The right candidate will:
- Be familiar with architectural drawings and sub contractor shop drawings.
- Be familiar with all types of roofing materials and installation practices
- Have a high level of understanding on the following building science topics is required:
- Air infiltration/exfiltration
- Vapor drive/diffusion
- Thermal performance
- Water drainage
- Be able to complete all testing, inspection and sales tasks related to roofing with minimal oversight/direction from others.
- Be able to prepare concise and accurate reports both in written and electronic formats.
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and project team members.
- Be detail oriented
- Be willing to travel based on the needs of the business
