TECHNICIAN - BLAST AND BALLISTICS TESTING

Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Technician to perform testing in Architectural Testing's state-of-the-art Security Research Center.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Standard testing of security fenestration products including:
- Blast Testing
- Ballistics Testing
- Forced Entry Resistance Testing
DUTIES:
Take responsibility for testing projects as assigned including:
- Communicate with clients on test preparation, procedures, results and reporting
- Advise supervisors of any scheduling difficulties or necessary changes
- Set up test specimens and perform testing in accordance with referenced specifications and procedures
- Prepare and submit accurate, concise reports of all testing performed
- Invoice for all projects
- Work with supervisors and others on major testing and research projects
- Assist in all areas of testing to gain experience
- Travel based on the needs of the business
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete knowledge of all equipment, test methods, and applicable specifications associated with the areas of responsibility
- Technically competent to effectively communicate test procedures, specifications, and results with customers
- Working knowledge of power tools, lifting and moving equipment and construction methods
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting when necessary
