Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a full time Project Engineer / Manager in the metro-Atlanta region. The Project Engineer / Manager will be responsible for the testing and evaluation of exterior building envelope systems.
This will initially be a home office based position with the goal of increasing Architectural Testing's client base and ultimately opening a permanent forensic and testing operation in the Atlanta area. Comprehensive training will be provided. This is a unique opportunity to join a stable and growing company.
RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- Witness testing at product manufacturers' test facilities
- Manufacturing plant inspections
- Field testing and forensic evaluations of exterior building façades
REQUIREMENTS include:
- Knowledge of the construction industry and various building envelope systems, specifically commercial window and curtain walls, waterproofing, and air barrier installation methods and materials
- Motivated work ethic with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Commercial glazing or window manufacturing experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel based on the needs of the business
- Good computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and maintain good client relationships
- Ability to work independently
- BS in a construction related or engineering field (architectural, civil, structural or mechanical)
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
